For those of you who do not know about Monarch Money or Credit Karma, we are here to explain more about each company. Lets starts off with Monarch Money, they track all of your account balances, transactions, and investments in one place. First you would need to set up your financial accounts, the app syncs your transactions and income, so you’ll know exactly how much you can save toward your goals and spend in key areas, like bills and groceries. So basically, the way Monarch Money works is by budgeting and tracking your investments.
Credit Karma on the other hand, is a service that gives consumers access to TransUnion and Equifax credit scores and other information, as well as tools that can help them improve their ratings. Their data analysis skills enable them to analyze your credit profile and suggest products that can help you save money. Credit Karma’s information can be accessed by users for free and at their own convenience, with no need to register with a credit card.
So what makes Monarch Money and Credit Karma different?
1. Monarch’s product was designed to make it easy for you to manage your personal finances, including reducing debt, spending wisely, and creating realistic budgets. Credit Karma is not capable of offering budgeting, spending limit, goal-setting, or proactive financial management capabilities at this time.
2. Monarch ensures that your data is safeguarded with bank-level security and never shared with third parties. They also refrain from displaying ads to you. Credit Karma generates revenue by promoting credit cards and other financial products to its users, which is why their interface is cluttered with ads.
3. Monarch tracks the monthly fluctuation in bill payments, notifying you of changes in monthly utilities expenses and other merchant charges. Credit Karma lacks the ability to manage bills and offers only basic financial overviews that are based on snapshots.
4. Monarch’s product lets users create personalized transaction rules that give them tailored control over their financial activity. Credit Karma allows users to categorize transactions but does not have any custom rules or the ability to change merchant names.
5. Monarch’s design is clean, elegant, and simple across all platforms, including web, iOS, and Android. They put in extra effort to ensure that every piece of the product is easy to use. Credit Karma’s product is minimal, difficult to navigate, and aimed at directing you towards paid products.
