Do bounced checks hurt my credit score?

The simple answer is no. If you didn’t have enough money in the bank to cover the checks AND your bank account went into overdrawn status, you must bring your negative bank account balance into a positive. If you did not bring it back up to a positive, the bank has the right to send that “debt” to a collection agency. That “debt” WILL affect your credit score/report. It WILL also affect your check history report.
